IPC-A-610 is a widely recognized standard for the acceptability of electronic assemblies, developed by IPC. Classes under IPC-A-610 are often structured to address different levels of assembly quality and cover specific requirements for soldering, component placement, and overall workmanship

IPC-600, “Acceptability of Printed Boards,” is a widely recognized certification and training program focused on the inspection and quality standards for printed circuit boards (PCBs).

This training course is designed to teach individuals what details are important when designing, updating, or redesigning CCAs to insure there is appropriate access, testability, and/or reusability of existing test programs or fixtures. It will also go over some of the details of how to create Statements of Work (SOWs) to detail what and how a CCA or particular devices on a CCA should be tested.  

IPC-A-600: Acceptability of Printed Boards has set the standard for PCB workmanship quality with its comprehensive acceptance criteria for target, acceptable and nonconforming conditions on bare printed boards. PCB manufacturers and assemblers alike rely on this internationally recognized document to improve their understanding of printed board quality issues as well as help enhance communication with their suppliers and customers. This makes IPC-A-600 one of the most widely used standards ever published by IPC, and a natural choice for certification.
